Wraz z pierwszym dniem lata Balenciaga, wtedy pod kreatywną dyrekcją Demny debiutuje wiosenną kolekcję męską na sezon wiosna/lato 2018 w zaciszu i cieniu drzew paryskiego Bois de Boulogne. Tematem przewodnim kolekcji dla pochodzącego z Gruzji projektanta będzie ojcostwo oraz różne jego formy i momenty. Spacerujący po wybiegu modele nie będą jednak jedynie metaforą, wyobrażeniem młodych ojców przyłapanych podczas spaceru z dziećmi. Wśród stałych modeli, ci którzy faktycznie posiadają potomków, Demna zaprosił by po wybiegu przeszli się wraz z trzymanymi za rękę dziećmi. Interesująco, rodzinna sielanka zostaje zestawiona z pulsującymi dźwiękami techno, w coverze utworu Muse “Unintended” z 1999 zreinterpretowanego przez partnera projektanta, muzyka BFRND. Nie bez powodu więc wśród ojcowskich, codziennych uniformów znajdzie się też odrobina niepokorności - skórzana kurtka z przypominającymi graffiti sygnaturami Balenciagi na rękawach.
