Projekt, który wizualnie zdefiniował amerykańską klasę robotniczą, w historii zapisał się jako uniform postępu, w XXI wieku Vetements rekonstruuje i konceptualizuje na nowo. Wraz z kolekcją ready-to-wear na sezon jesień/zima 2017 para archiwalnych spodni Levi’s według projektu Demny, wtedy będącego tym z dwójki braci Gvasalia odpowiedzialnym za kreatywną dyrekcję, zostaje pozszywana wzdłuż przeszyć nowej, postmodernistycznej wizji. Prezentując sezonowy pokaz, tym razem usytuowany w Centre Pompidou, projektant ma dość klasyfikacji Vetements jako ściśle streetwearowego brandu. Zamiast tego, sartorialnym eksperymentom poddaje społeczny uniform - to co zaobserwowane w trójwymiarze życia z krwi i kości, jak i tym płaskim, online. Wybieg na sezon jesień/zima 2017 będzie też zapowiedzią dalszych losów marki - z Demną rozdzielającym kreatywne zasoby między swoją rolą kreatywną w Vetements jak i w Balenciadze, pełniącym rolę CEO bratem Guramem oraz potencjalnym planem przeniesienia siedziby braterskiego przedsięwzięcia do Szwajcarii.
